Goal of MEER Data Portal
Mariana trench Environment and Ecology Research project (MEER) was proposed on the cruise TS21-2 during 2021.10-2021.12 on the R/V Tan Suo Yi Hao. It aims to combine multi-omics sequencing datasets and environmental features to investigate the major scientific question around the Mariana trench, such as:
- Origin and environmental adaptation of life
- Biodiversity
- Formation and evolution of deep-sea geoscience systems
- Climate change
